Counseling at HorseSpeak is licensed psychotherapy offered in a quiet ranch setting, supported by horses and other animals as calm partners.
This is not one-size-fits-all therapy. Sessions are paced for the person in front of us, grounded in safety, and responsive to what’s present.
You don’t need experience with horses.
You don’t need to know what to say.
You’re welcome to begin just as you are.
How Sessions Begin
At HorseSpeak, sessions unfold in a calm ranch environment, grounded and unhurried.
There is no script to follow.
Some sessions are conversations.
Others involve walking, observing, or quiet time alongside the animals.
Guided with Care
Sessions at HorseSpeak are held by licensed
therapists with experience in trauma-informed care.
Led by Marybeth Wiefels MA LPCC, the process is gentle, grounded, and encouraging — supporting people to notice patterns, build confidence, and take meaningful steps forward.
Nothing is rushed.
Why Animals Are Part of the Process
Calm, Supportive Presence
Animals offer steadiness without expectation.
They respond to how we feel, not what we say.
Choice Always Comes First
Animals are never required in sessions. They are available if and when it feels right.
Gentle Mirrors
Horses notice boundaries, tension, and calm.
They reflect patterns without judgment.
Regulation Before Words
Animals help settle the nervous system.
This can make talking feel more possible.
Shared Space, Not Performance
Nothing to prove. Nothing to get right
Just presence, connection, and care.
