We're here to make that possible.
At HorseSpeak, our Adaptive Riding sessions are designed to meet you where you are — whether your needs are physical, cognitive, or sensory.
Every session is small, individualized, and guided by safety, presence, and respect for the rider and the horse.
You don't need experience.
You don't need the right words.
We begin with a conversation.
Every rider arrives differently — and that's exactly what we plan for.
Some riders need physical or practical support to ride safely. Others are navigating sensory sensitivities, cognitive differences, or simply need more time and patience than a standard riding program allows.
We take time to understand each rider and shape every session around what they actually need — not what's easiest to deliver.

Adaptive Riding
Support to ride safely and comfortably
Adaptive Riding focuses on access to riding.
It supports riders who benefit from extra physical, cognitive, or sensory support so they can ride with confidence and care.
Adaptive Riding may support:
- Balance and coordination
- Confidence through safe riding
- Skill development at an individual pace
- Riding with appropriate support
Sessions are:
- Led by a trained instructor
- Supported by volunteers when needed
- Adjusted as the rider’s needs change
- Small program by design
- Wheelchair ramp available
- No mechanical lift at this time
Every session is paced to the rider — never rushed, never forced.

Ongoing sessions
Every rider is different, and so is every session.
We work out the right level of support together, at your first assessment.
Initial Riding Assessment (60 min) - $150
Meeting you and the horses, reviewing any medical information, finding the right horse, and working out what support will help.
The fee reflects the team your session needs. We’ll tell you which level is yours after your assessment, and it won’t change without us talking with you first.

And if cost is the thing standing in your way, please tell us. We're a nonprofit, we hold a number of assisted places, and we'd far rather have that conversation than have you not come.
